the weird shit goes by

see, it was all mental. a game played from remote – time, distance, and frame of mind. the easiest way to subdue a population is to… Divide and conquer, correct. its such an old story, too. The bastards never did have any imagination.

they came in the form of giant reptilian people, their little grey minions, and their cowardly sell-out accomplices throughout the galaxy.

anti-climactic to find out the story we were taught to fear was basically what they had already done (again, little imagination)

but it was so simple, assinine, and in the end, wholly transparent that once we realized who they were and why they were even doing it, it made us sad.

When we discovered what “we” humanoids had done to them, we had to all sit back and pause.

what would we have done in their place? as bad, or probably worse?

and so we, humanity as a collective, decided to do something for our transgressor that might have seemed, moments before, completely unimaginable: we forgave them, not with a bang but a whimper.

what we couldn’t have realized, in our 3d state, is that by choosing this path, we would unwittingly unleash one of the most impressive domino cascades of good fortune the galaxy had ever seen
